This still from the opening sequence of The Breakfast Club (Hughes, 1985) shows Shermer High School’s “Man Of The Year” for the years 1968-1970 (the others are out of frame). The “Man Of The Year” for 1969 is Carl Reed who, obviously, was a student then.

Fast forward to 1984. Carl is the janitor at Shermer High School.
