Uh, yeah, because record distribution is rigged to give the best deals to places like Amazon and big box stores. Also, Amazon sells a lot of new releases at a loss (can anyone say anti-competitive practices?) whereas normal stores simply cannot. But, hey, ya know, go ahead and save a few bucks. That’s the R.E.M. way, after all, right?
